With a bit of luck we should be able to bring this section up to a point where it will make interesting reading. Personally I think it is interesting knowing just what type of receiver the other chap uses, with this listing we can see at a glance.
Looking over the receivers and antennas listed above we can see that all types of sets are used in this hobby, an expensive communication receiver is not required any household ‘bomb will do the job quite well.
The main ingredient is enthusiasm, the only trait which is born in a DXer. You can bring the hobby to a new member but you cant force him into it, only by explaining the hobby of DXing and giving a helping hand can the new member be encouraged to participate fully in the hobby.
